I know someone at my sixth form who is claiming £30 a week yet i know his parents earn over 30k a year combined and because of this he wont get a job. Annoys me with people who scam it like this -.- The gf gets it aswell but she puts it all in a savings account as her job pays her enough.

Sorry but if you're girlfriend doesn't need to money, she shouldn't apply for it. It's not money to put into a savings account and then spend it later on in life. It's "scamming".

Cant be bothered with the effort. I am happy in the knowledge that i have a job that pays me better than that a week, and i will still get paid when i leave sixth form from it.

done my head in when a few mates got EMA. in theory, i should have gotten 30 quid a week off my parentals, did i buggery, i had to get a job as soon as i turned 16. fair enough i would still have got a job if i got EMA, but 30 quid is 30 quid, 30 quid goes a long way when your a student.

Anyone got their £100 christmas bonus yet? I've been told i'd get it before christmas, first week back, second week back, last week of January, first week of February, but no definates.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Nah not yet. Filled in my form though, so I guess they're processing it.

haven't got mine yet.. :) neither my mate... but i've been ill for 4 weeks this year so i doubt ill get it... :/

Should be used for supplies for college, and transport to and from college, and food at college....and paintball guns to destroy a few of the rooms...as happened at my sixth form earlier this week

Getting paid to go to college now are they? Jesus ****ing wept. They should be PAYING to attend college, not being paid.

thats what makes most of the lazy students try and learn something for some it's just free money :) which is always good when you need new trainers :o

What about the lazy students who's parents are earning over £30,800 a year though. That dont work then :p

Why does someone always have to start an argument over these threads? Yes, college students get EMA if their parents earn under a certain amount and that's the way it is. No need to argue over it every single time it comes up.

No argument here. I'm stating my opinion. Whether you agree with it or not, I couldn't care less.
