I am still to buy my camera upgrade, I got distracted and bought some new bits for the house but I will get around to upgrading shortly. I think a D300 will be the right place for my money as I have a (faulty) D70 already.

From the age of 12 to probably around 23 I could be found at some form of motorsport event each weekend but sadly I don't get the time like I used to. Last year as far as I can recall I managed a couple of track outings and the Goodwood Revival and that was it. I did Goodwood properly with the full mobile home and for the full 3 days but my wife had to drop out due to ill health and a mate jumped in at the 11th hour. He was not a massive motorsport fan but is a photographer and got thousands of great images with his Canon kit.

I am actually really tempted to get my own rally car as I fancy a hack at it. Nothing silly of course, I feel a MK2 Escort is the right way to go and there was a cracker on Pistonheads a few weeks back I had my eye on but it went so we will see what the year brings. I did some competition drving in my late teens and twenties on sprints and hill climbs but finding the time is the issue now really. We will see how the year goes and if I still have money I may take the plunge. A mate just did a rally in the NE in a 205GTi and loved it and for a few grand you can have some real fun. I did the Phil Price Rally School a couple of years back with some mates and it was epic fun and really good value too. MK2 Escorts there as well...

Which rally? At Croft? I went to the Xmas Stages and Jack Frost a couple of weeks back. If he was there I probably got some photos :p

Look at the owner. Thats one fast granny. At first i thought the lady in black was driving but, turned out to be the women in the grey jacket. Had to stop her and give her my cleaning card terrible for a car to be in such a state.

at least its being used, instead of sitting in a garage all its life. If you hadnt said it was a gran driving it, i would be quite proud that the owner has obviously went out and ragged it and used the car properly. :(
