MyMovies

Yes I have. It does work with the 360. Its quite good at downloading the details, artwork, cast etc. for movies, though its somethings gets things wrong, its easy to correct.

It adds an extra bar to the interface, and it works ok. However it is very slow in use. I've also found that the media center on windows 7 adds a similar thing called 'Movies which doesn't add all the same level of detail but does add more than I had on the basic Vista version, this I'd also say was slow, but still much faster than my movies.

I suggest installing it and giving it a go. Just remember if you decide to un-install it that the sql server part won't be automatically uninstalled and you need to stop the sql services and uninstall it separately.

Use DVD Library Manager instead:

HERE

It's light years ahead of MyMovies and doesn't require the installation of SQL meaning its footprint is tiny and uses XML data instead.

Reghack your Vista MCE to show DVD gallery and you're laughing.

This, IF you have only DVDrips, anything in XVID etc doesn't work. Put an AVI in a folder and MyMovies deals with it the same as DVD rips.

Im using MyMovies for this reason, plus it means I can use myvideos for other stuff, comedy etc. :)

Just reading the instructions forthe My DVD or DVD Libraru data provider and it says...

Perform the following steps to enable “DVD library” from registry:
1. Close Media Center
2. From start menu, “Run...” type “regedit” and press “Ok”.
3. Locale the key “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Media Center\Settings\DvdSettings”
4. Modify the string “ShowGallery”, to the value “Gallery” instead of the default “Play”
5. Reopen Media Center
Notice that the “DVD library” must be enabled for each user individually, and does not work from
Media Center extenders.

I'm on on the right track here?
