doing a service on my car isnt it amzing how spending a few hours on your own messing about in oil and under a car can seem like the best thing in the world. Best of all you dont have to pay stupid dealer prices, it must have cost me only about £17 for oil/filter and air filter

Satisfying isnt it? I have to change the oil, filter, thermostat, coolant and shocks on mine in the next few weeks.

Sure its bloody cold outside but its great to do this kinda stuff for yourself.

Last weekend I replaced all the discs and pads on my car. I'm quite sad and was actually looking forward to doing it. It was quite enjoyable getting up early on a Sunday morning and tinkering with the car whilst the girlfriend was in bed still!

ETA: Only cost £91 for 4 x discs and pads all round too, delivered!

I'm really getting into cars now. I want to push myself to do more but i'm worried!

So far i've just been doing small things like spark plugs, leads, topping oil up, changing tyres.

I want to dive in more! Quite enjoy it Me and my brother often tinker with our cars Sunday morning.
