Sell your current car, buy something cheap, actually make money? Surely running a second car is going to be more than you earn delivering. I'm a pizza delivery specialist :) and when I had the Matiz I made a fair bit of cash from getting my fuel money back, but now in the Brava I just about cover the cost. So even with average fuel consumption its going to cost you. That said this one guy manages to get by delivering in an K reg Jag 3.5L (I think) barge of some description :D

I also think that driving 40 miles to deliver somewhere is a dumb idea. Unless you know the area well you'll really struggle. A sat-nav is handy but it won't have every house on it.

Why the need to drive up and down kerbs? Do what the rest of the pizza delivery guys round my way do and get yourself a £300 Nissan Micra and then run it into the ground till it dies, then repeat :D
 
Buy a mk1 mondeo, the bloke that delivered my dominos last night managed to mount the curb just fine in one, weather he meant to or not :D .
