I think a lot hated the original KA at first too. Look at the success that had.
So you should not buy the car if you are tall?

its all opinion tho, to the average motorist the lights may be ok and to be honest look who the car is aimed at - the core market for the Ka is girls 17-25, how many girls that age have the same frame as clarkson?
Having driven both the Fiat 500 and the new Ford KA I found the Ford KA to be a much nicer drive. The KA was a much smoother drive where as in the 500 I could feel the bumps in the road a lot more. I also found the gear box in the KA to be nicer. I would go for the KA over the 500 personally.

I know they like to say it's a 500, but it's not, it's a panda. Just happens that the 500 is also a panda. Ford are simply trying to buy some good image from FIAT with that claim.
Ford messed up on the power because they didn't pick any of the larger motors.
Ford messed up on the styling because they tried to make it look like the old Ka. I particularly hate the rear quarters.
And ford messed up on lights because they're Ford.
I was wondering what was taking so long with this car if it was basically already built, now we know, it's basically 2 reasons: Ford are circling the drain financially, and they needed to **** it up before they released it.
It's the Italians who know what they're doing with small cars.

the impression i got from it was not so much about how bad the ka was but that it didnt live up to what he was expecting compare with the rest of the range. he has given very positive reviews to the focus mondeo and recently the fiesta.
every other review ive seen has basically said the ka doesnt look as good but it handles better and is cheaper than a 500.
