How cruel can people be? - Dog stolen from outside a Tesco found dead in beck.

Sorry mate, but you are talking absolute rubbish. How is it not 'right' that dogs be kept as pets?

Do you eat meat? Because you could also say that keeping cows on farms isn't 'right' because they should be in the wilds roaming free like wildebeest!

IIRC, Dingo in Australia teamed up with Aborigines of their own accord, for food and warmth, would you say that's not right too?

You sir, are the one who fails.

it matters nothing to me about right or wrong, im assuming it matters to you, and thus the point, so people who care can see an alternative view..

They can't survive in the wild.

Ignoratio elenchi.

Unless your a vegan your being pretty hypocritical.

they cant, but thats the point why they shouldnt exist except for essential purposes, many people i bet do it for fun etc and profit

mabye so

just because i can say something is wrong, why would you expect me to do whats right? why? im not telling you to do the "right thing" im just pointing it out

If it doesn't matter to you about right or wrong, what was the point of your post?

At the end of the day, I very much doubt my dog curls up on his warm bed every night, with a full belly and a 'pack' who love him dearly, and thinks to himself 'Man, I really wish I was out on the street right now, cold, fending for myself and dodging cars...'

Blah blah blah

Stop trying to be controversial for the sake of it. People give dogs homes because they want the dog to have good life and to add pleasure to their own, it's a very good arrangement and these pets go on to be considered as part of the family that loves them.

Your post is complete drivel, you hope the person killed the dog over some kind of annoyance....One of the things that makes us human is our compassion for other people and other animals. I'm sure you are capable of that compassion too and your post is purely to be argumentative.

i dont feel compassion, so thats why i argue, if you want to see it like that

to make people understand that their perspective upon things isnt the only one that exists and is valid.

that is the point of all my arguments

The bad thing is that if they were caught they would simply be banned from keeping animals.

Its an absolutely disgusting act by the person responsible. A rightous beating and jail term should ensue.

whats beck? a river?

Anyway, i personally think thats horrible, one thing that i really hate more than anything in this world is hurting defenseless animals, it makes me sick when i read reports like this online or in the paper.

Banned from keeping animals for what? Picking a dog up in the street and running off with it?

Have you actually read the article, or are you just posting a knee-jerk reaction in line with all the others?

Probs some 12 year old **** that obviously needs some help and tbh if found will probs be given a big hug and sent on a nice tropical holiday. (In all honesty though he/she/them need a good kicking - many times)

****ers

Well stealing another persons pet seems quite a reasonable excuse to ban a person from owning animals to me. You're another one who posts for attention.

OK, seen as you seem to know the story behind this, would you care to furnish us the facts as to why the guy picked the dog up and walked off with it.

You ever thought the dog might have been in some distress and the guy was just doing what he felt best at the time?

I have never left my dog alone, not even for a second. Anyone who does is irresponsible scum.

Too right.

I would never leave my dog (if I had one), alone, in public. That is simply asking for trouble and I live in a low-crime area.

Judging by some of the remarks earlier in this thread, it is clear the area is rough. With this knowledge, I would NEVER leave my dog (if I truly care for it), tied up somewhere in public, out of my view. For one, he could end up biting someone or someone could end up stealing him and taking him for a walk and then killing him.

How is the owner irresponsible? People frequently leave dogs tied up outside supermarkets if they are just popping in quickly and can't take dogs in.

Who would ever think that someone would take their dog and do something like this? Just plain cruel and sad.

The owner must take some of the blame. People steal cars, and kidnap kids. You should use your common sense and understand that sometimes people steal pets.

As an example, I have 2 pedigree cats that are only allowed in the house and the garden. I would never allow them to roam the streets in my area, as I know that within 3 days or so, they would both be stolen. Any visitors I have always comment that they look extremely exotic and it doesnt take a genius to realise that many people outside of my house will be thinking along the exact same lines.

To leave a dog tied up outside a shop is totally irresponsible. If the owner wanted to go shopping, he shouldve left the dog at home. Plain and simple.

Har har har, an animal is in distress so you take it for a run? Oh come on pal if this is what the guy felt was the best thing to do he is still incapable of providing the best for an animal.
