Is this still the January transfer rumours thread as I am confused by the last page of bickering. Just agree to disagree lads and get back to the football talk.

Anyone heard whether the Arshavin deal is going through or collapsed for good? Or just any hope what so ever of getting a signing for Arsenal in the next week?

Pretty sure Arshavin will finish the month an Arsenal player. I can't see any logical way for Zenit to want to keep him after this window, it'd just cause too many problems. I think they're just holding out as long as they can in the hope that somebody with more money may appear or make Arsenal sweat enough to increase the bid. They're just not in a rush and a bit awkward I think.

Arshavin may go to Arsenal but I think we have a good chance of signing him also.

Yeah I agree. I would have thought that they would have stepped in with an offer already though, unless they cant get anyone else to sign.

But i suspect most of us know this now anyway.
As soon as the Dons find out they will address the situation.
