Blackberry Bold 9000

Anyone Got any problems with a Blackberry Bold 9000?

Intermittantly comes up with java errors, mostly when i try to view the SMS folders... ( which are a pain to get to, so if anyone knows a shortcut or how to set up a shortcut..rather than messages, view folder, select folder..) much appreciated.

Got the BIS running now, which work and have fixed a few problems which i had before.. Especially with the signal quality, people could never hear me on a call!

Also, if anyone knows of a good, trusted source of apps for it. Let me know. looked at a few places, but not really sure..

Mine's been 100% fine and I've had it since just after launch.

No idea about apps - only installed Google Sync and Facebook on it I think.

ah may have a look for the facebook app, never seem to log in on the pc, hehe.

It works with WIFI?

I assume so! No idea to be honest - I do have the WiFi set up.

Hmmm ive had mine since Dec and never had any of the problems your facing.

What OS are you running??, might be worth upgrading to the latest 216 OS...im running that at the moment and my Bold is sweet as a nut...havent had a single problem with it.

Also have you tried a battery pull?? ie pull the battery out for a few secs then put it back in...that tends to solve a lot of problems that people have with the Bold.

Best site for Blackberry's that i have found is www.crackberry.com. Probably the biggest and best BB site on the planet. Full of helpful people in there although they are mostly Americans and they have specific forums for each device amongst many other forums for different things. Have a look in there, join up and start asking questions...a lot of them know what they are talking about. Unless your already a member there.

Also, i did the battery pull twice, seems like a temporary fix till the problem ocurs again... Not sure which version of the OS is.. had a snoop and found the following..

Build: 0241
Version 2088 [LVR47.2]

However i think this is to do with Nuance. Any pointers ?

Yeah you need to go into options, click your BB button then scroll down to options..click that then click on about..once in there, you will see a lot of info but the one your looking for is 3 lines down and starts with v4.6.0.216...the last 3 digits are the OS your running...in my case im running 216 OS which is RIMS latest and official OS update for the Bold.
