Grand Theft Auto 4

Just started playing since a couple of patches have been released. Runs fine on my computer at 16x10. Quite enjoying it, although the car physics are outrageous. Surely they could have done better!?

You've just started [playing, you will think this for several days but then afterwards you'll get used to it and actually like it as every car handles differently in respect to its size and type!

Well, unless you're using KB and mouse..
 
Aye, I think they're fun, and not completely unrealistic, certainly much much better than a lot of games (except hardcore driving ones I suppose).

Ace, glad it's running better and still looking half decent :)

Could you post a screenie of the settings please? And your spec, just so i have an idea on what i could change.

Hah, he's probably talking about the first car you get in, and driving that as your first car with a keyboard IS damn weird, it's all over the place :p

Although I'm fine with keyboard and mouse, i've always played with that (even in driving games) so im more than used to driving with the keyboard :) I do it pretty well to be fair also.

I think so anyway so meh :p

me too,

at first it feels all jelly like, but then you have to remember how silly they are in San Andreas / Vice City!

one thing i'm glad they've kept.

run into a person when you're on a bike, they fly vertically :D
 
How does multiplayer work on this? I know how to get into it, I've just never done this....

Are there death match / team deathmatch scenarios? Racing scenarios etc?

Never bothered to look into it yet :p
 
Not graphically laggy but net connection wise - I think the people you play with end up being too slow so it affects the rest of the game.
 
GTA 4 on it's way:D

Just to check should I do the following:

1: Update to latest nvidia driver; which one is this and is it a beta?
2: Update my XP to SP3?
3: Download latest GTA 4 patch; but you guys are having problems with it?!

A few people have problems, many don't. It's the same with anything anywhere computer wise!

Oh, yep update everything. You should already be on Sp3 though so not quite sure why you have not yet.
 
didn't update to sp3 lest there be problems with it and was perfectly happy on sp2.
should I go out of my way to backup content on my pc or is it only gonna affect the C drive (OS drive lol)
