Hi Guys,
I've got an HTPC, which uses the onboard graphics (HD3200) on a Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H mobo. I output over HDMI to an HDMI switch, which then connects to a Panasonic TH-50PH10. The problem I have is that the computer does not seem to recognise the HDMI output when connected to the switch.
If I boot the computer with it directly connected to the TV, everything works fine. If I boot the computer with it connected via the switch, I get everything from POST up to the Windows loading screen on the TV, then the signal cuts out when Windows loads up (I am using Vista 64, if that makes a difference). Right now, I have to boot the computer with the cable directly connected and then unplug it and plug it in via the switch without rebooting (this, oddly enough, works).
The fact that the TV displays the boot sequence just fine suggests would seem to rule out any handshaking problem etc, so it seems to be a driver issue where the computer is not recognising the connection. Is there any way I can force the computer to output over the HDMI connection, regardless of whether it detects it or not? Failing that, any other ideas?
Thanks
