Status "Order placed", which is the first in 3 steps when my online game retailer is about to send out an item. I didnt even relise it was comming out yet?

Been in developement for a long time, hopefully it lives up to its name. Seen a few videos of it and I must say its looking good, but I would say expect delays.

Mine changed from "Pre-ordered" to "Order Taken". Definitely not coming out soon though.

StarCraft 2 is gonna be Blizzard's big title as far as I can see, and that isn't due till September-ish, so D3 is likely mid-next-year I think.

While the term "soon" is trademarked to blizzard for meaning from within a few days to a few years, I think it will be another year - 2 years at least. Probably around another year if I had to give a best guess.

I do, of course hope it is sooner rather than later though.

Normally the order status is "On Pre-Order", "Order Placed" is the next step following by "payment taken" and finally "shipped"

would be nice if they released the blizzcon demo, ide even pay for it.

but alas, i think the wait will be until mid-next year at the earliest.

I'm sure this will be the case just expect a big gap either between order placed and payment taken if you are lucky,
or between payment taken and order shipped if you are unluckky
