Just had the Halifax on the phone to me asking if I'd like another credit card or a £13,000 loan.

lul wut?

I asked the guy if he was winding me up at first, but it seems they are deadly serious. Meh, already got 1 CC and £0 balance thanks, would like to keep it that way :)

Is this just a targeted campaign to get a bit of revenue in or something, or has McBroon finally twisted their arms so far behind their backs that they are now throwing credit around like confetti :p

Obviously I'm aware that things are still crap, but I'm a bit shocked at the above.

Don't know about borrowing money but my order books are full. Granted that most money we take is foreign but I have been employing more staff this year not losing them.

I bet loan would need to be secured :p

You must have a very good credit rating to be asked, then again ive got a terrible rating and i keep getting junk mail from the banks saying ive been "accepted" for credit cards and loans...

They really must think you are daft, i mean a 13k loan in a recession! lol

(then again we dont know what you do for a living, you might be an MP )

Experian says 999.

But tbh I am *more* averse to credit than I've ever been. I'm pruning absolutely everything at the moment, despite the fact that I'm comfortable. Personal phone is going on to PAYG as I have asked for a new work phone, cancelling unecessary subscriptions and everything... Must save every possible penny and throw it in the house deposit fund :D

Glad I followed my gut feeling and didn't follow the crowd and get crazily in debt like a lot of mates have over the past few years. :)

But you can't count on repeat business (unless you're in Transylvania).

Rumour has it some bloke in Sandals gave an undertaker his business twice about 2009 years ago. Jerusalem I think :D

HSBC phoned me a few weeks ago to inform me they had a sale on. i was hoping she was gonna say they had 10% off everything and for every £100 i borrowed it would only cost £90 :(
