January Transfer Window Thread - rumours and signings here

Again, I'm not trying to make a deal out of this, I was seeking genuine clarification.

It reads as, Manu were as far behind Arsenal last season as Arsenal are behind Arsenal now.

If you think I'm wrong, substitute any other team's name in place of the word, "they".
Or alernatively, you can read between the lines:

We were as far behind Arsenal last season as they are (far behind) now.
People forget that.
Either way, anyone with half a brain knows what he meant.

In all fairness though, Man UTD have shown in recent years they're able to claim lost leads.

And we're terrible for losing them. I can think of three seasons in recent history where we've blown a league title more than opposition teams have won them. :(

Spot on.

He's crap with 1v1s.

He's a much better striker when he goes on instinct rather than having time to think what he's doing.

Only just noticed this.

If only that was the case. Countless times this season the balls been fired across the face of goal to him and not only has he often missed the target but you'd be amazed at the amount of times he's missed the ball.

His finishing has been pretty embarrassing, not much of a step up from Tuncay's.

Put our hand up if you didn't see that coming!

Anyone?

Laughin - yeah exactly

He is after (according to reports) ridiculous amounts of money though - before he has proven anything

I actually am not (THAT) worried about Arsenal, and the main factor is this - Utd have proven time and time again that they can come from behind and really punish other teams ahead of them, Chelsea are really the only other team to know recently how to do that - Arsenal as a team of players have no real knowledge of how thats done (with most if not all of their title winning teams long gone)

Nok has a good point though - it is still very close, but I just cant see Arsenal not dropping more points relative to the other 3

I'd love to say that Arsenal could surprise everyone and mount a strong title challenge from here on out but I don't think it's realistic. However, the team has steadied recently and it's been very impressive after losing the captain and best player. I think it'll be a top 4 finish and overall an impressive achievement considering the players at Wenger's disposal. Tonight is a must win though. Hugely important game.

According to Reports... The same reports that put a deadline of the 26th before The Arsenal would moved on to another player.

This thing has dragged on so long that I dont really have any further interest in hearing about it. I just hope that we actually get one or two players in before the end of the month.

Good news that rosicky and ed are coming back soon. That is like two good signings for us because of the time they have both been out. Should see some hunger that has been missing this year.

As far as title hopes, I would be happy with a top four finish and that is going to be hard seeing as villa just keep on winning.
