I thought there were going to be 3 automatic places and the 4th place side will have to play an extra qualifier.

edit: Just checked the Uefa site and as of next season the top 3 leagues (us, Spain and Italy) will have 2 automatic spots, the 3rd place side have to play 1 qualifier and the the 4th place side have to play 2 qualifiers rather than 3rd and 4th playing just 1 qualifier.

IINM Uefa wanted to take one of the CL spots away from the top leagues and give more automatic spots to smaller nations. Predictably the top sides told them to **** off so they made a compromise.

Think I've seen him do that twice this season. Awful, awful crosser of the ball, never goes past a man and is always looking to release the ball as quickly as possible. Horrible excuse for a footballer.
 
Zenit are just playing stupid games now! They don't want to loose face to their supporters by accepting a lower offer from a Western Club hence trying to look like tough negotiators. It's pathetic, no club is ever going to offer them 20m for an un-proven player outside of the russian league.

That's guaranteed to be honest, I'd be more worried about Villa, 6 away wins on the bounce, that's fantastic form.
 
Again, I'm not trying to make a deal out of this, I was seeking genuine clarification.

It reads as, Manu were as far behind Arsenal last season as Arsenal are behind Arsenal now.

If you think I'm wrong, substitute any other team's name in place of the word, "they".
