HMMM! I'm about to start my new build and had pushed my budget to get a BFG GTX 280 OC for £250 that i have found but now that i have seen this i might save my cash and CF it further down the line.

As a GTX 280 owner I would personally get the 4870 at the moment, save the cash and go down the pub.

Both the 4870 and GTX 280 will stop being able to play the latest games around the same time anyway, same killer release will probably take both cards out in the same blow and force an upgrade.

Crossfire is another good bet, or save the cash for another "super" upgrade in a couple of generations time.

GTX 280 is only worth about £40-£50 over the 4870 at a push, check out some reviews and it can be even less of a Price

erformance gap.

I was going to get myself a 260 next month but at this price it made more sense.
