Hi guy hope all is well,
i am going to be watercooling my Gcard 4870x2 and want to know the best and cheapest way around it i do not mind having a single loop just for the card but if it costs only a few more quid to do cpu as well i will.
i was thinking of this just for the G-Card
XSPC X2O Delta V3 CPU Watercooling Kit but change the rad for this
TFC Xchanger - Double Radiator 240

i do not mind spending in the region of £200ish

any help would be great also whats the best block for 4870 i have seen a few online other than the one OC sell.

Thanks
Wardy

Just flash both chips with the TOP bios, after that watercool and you can get decent clocks trying it. I have a 4870 at 841/1041, if you can get that on both dies, you're winning.

hi all
i am not mad i promise.
my reason for watercooling the 4870x2 is coz the thing makes so much noise plus i am unlucky to have one of those houses that give our dust lol.
i thought it would work our better to just watercool the 4870x2 as i know it gives out a lot of heat. i got the 1200 case so got room.

any other helpful suggestions are welcome. i dont mind watercooling the lot i like a quiet pc.

Hey wardenet, are you sure spending £200 on making a graphics card quieter a shrewd move!:p

Not that I wish you to suffer or anything (dunno how loud your card is) but cmon there has to be a more economic solution?

ideas

give me something to work with then. i had a 8800gtx with arctic cooler on and that was nice a quiet, when the ati get hot it make a noise to loud for my liking,

of you got any ideas please check them this way, i am not sure what you agaist it, maybe if you explain your reasons i will get a better idea.

I think what's kicking off all the fuss here is that you are not choosing to watercool the CPU as well. It does seem like a lot to pay to quieten down your graphics card though.
