I was running 8:10 run into the pink got 17,800 HD ready then kept 8:10 ccc but put on the 8:12 driver run into the pink and got 20,600 HD ready

What i am trying to say is " I hope 9:1 have the same impact" after all the hype you would think so.......

I've got CF 4850's, the 8.11, 8.11 hotfix, 8.12, 8.12 hotfix 1 all wouldn't work with my cards (blue screen after install).

However the 8.12 Hotfix 2 work perfectly.

I've not had chance to try the 9.1's yet.

Cheers can u let me know if you try the 9.1's and if they work just trying to find the 8.12 hotfix#2 to try them myself.

Yeah, there were 2 hotfixes, though ATi call them both just 8.12 Hotfix, the original hotfix came out in late December, then it was updated in Jan.

Got the Vista x64 drivers working in Win 7 no problem. rumours around that this driver set is not even the official drivers from ATI as these are 8.573 not 8.58 as they should be.

Nope, 8.573 is the version number for 9.1 as confrimed by Spyre (Moderator on the official AMD/ATi forum):

The driver page will be updated later today. The 9.1 package is version 8.57.3, not the same as the hotfix drivers though as these fix the 6 - 8GB install problem and the previous hotfixes dont. The hotfixes are faster in various games however due to the multi-gpu threading which wont be in the official drivers til later.

If you dont want to wait, the drivers are already on various other sites.

So by the sounds of it the 8.12 Hotfix may actually be faster than the 9.1's.. but the 9.1's fix stuff the 8.12's don't... useful...

A quick test across 5 different games gives a thumbs so far. Screen corruption has gone in gm10 + undercover which was really irritating.
