The Malmstrom Air Force Base UFO/Missile Incident -Nuclear missiles shutdown

Magick - I admire your persistence....but surely you can tell by now that this is the most cynical forum in the history of the universe. Or is that the challenge for you? I gave up a long time ago...

well clearly the 'zards xmas is only once every 50 earth years or so otherwise we would all have been scranned by now (unless were are desert)

I rekon the 'zards (:D) should register on here and see how long they last trying to take over GD... they'll soon think twice about trying it on after that!

LONDON, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- A former official with the British Ministry of Defense said military pilots in the country have been shooting at UFOs since the 1980s.

Nick Pope, former head of the Ministry of Defense's UFO project, said UFOs have been fired upon but none have been brought down or captured by the Royal Air Force, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.

"There was a faction in the MoD who said 'We want to shoot down a UFO and that will resolve the issue one way or another,'" Pope said. "We know of cases where the order has been given to shoot down -- with little effect to the UFO."

Pope said pilots only fired upon UFOs in cases where the objects appeared threatening.

"In the case of UFOs, whether the object is causing a threat is very much a pilot's judgment call. The public won't know unless it comes down in a heavily populated area," he said.

Hmm.

Well, there is SOMETHING out there that happened in the past and still happening and until the Governments around the world release such info it won't ever become clear it seems.

Silly pilots, have they not seen Independence Day? Seriously, I rekon that would be like throwing rocks at a tank.

STOP!

BUNKER TIME!

*Runs for cover*

Haha, awesome stuff.

To people who don't like Magiks posts, don't read them then, no one is forcing you to read these posts. Last time I looked, there weren't any rules on this forum about posting made up stuff or not.

UFO means Unidentified, doesn't mean they are actual 'zards :o

I have seen a green oval shaped thing, flying in the sky, pretty quickly, silently that probably was a test of some new (at the time) engine, that obviously didn't catch on, seeing as we don't see them now days.

Does that mean Trident is in effect useless?

Useless against.........?????
Are you thinking aliens? Because I'm sure if any race had the technology to visit our planet, nukes wouldn't be much of a problem. Thinking in your line of thought, of course.

Does that mean Trident is in effect useless?

Only against aliens (of the interstellar variety)

Trident was developed to wipe out life on this planet, not on others.

Or was it ? - what *was* Trident's original design spec? theories abound...

No you haven't, and if you did, it would have been something much more sensible than you claim.

I mean really, when nut jobs imagine all this stuff why on earth does it all have to be some secret project? Good God.

Never said it was secret, just a failed experiment, you don't hear about every new way to boil an egg do you :p, it obviously didn't work very well seeing as we don't see any engine that spurts out green glowy stuff :p.

Edit: Also why is my "claim" about an engine that burns fuel with green exhaust is not sensible? Now I don't know chemistry well enough to know what can produce enough energy to power something flying, but I have seen green flames before. And what could be more "sensible" then that?

Oh, I know, a combustion engine that works on space lizards? Lizards are green, so obviously any combustion of them will give you green exhaust, and they obviously have ginormous(sp?) space brains which if combusted produce far more energy then the sun itself? Geeze, please actually read what I said rather then skipping every other word and making up rubbish.
