Shenmue & Shenmue II are the best games I've ever played tbh, loved the story to bits.

I just hope they make the third game to wrap up the story, I think they will sometime but unsure when. :)
 
Turrican 2 - Level 1 wins every time for me!

The music in Turrican 2 was so good it even had a music menu to listen to all of them.

X-out & Z-out by Rainbow Arts also had good music.

Most of the turrican & other music was by one guy, Chris Huelsbeck.

Here's the audio clip that made me nag the folks into buying me a Amiga 500 for Xmas all those years ago (a guy in a computer show in the Arndale Centre in Luton demoed it to us :D)

Shadow of the Beast 2: Game Over

& also a not so well known game: The Killing Game Show


The latter also being a Psynosis game - similar to RA in being consistently good at in-game music.

There are 2 songs that just stand out from anythin else I can think of in terms of epic-ness (yes, that's a word! lol)



Also I'm going with this, simply because it's a theme that pretty much every gamer will know :)
