Hi Folks,

I have an EK supreme cooling at Q9550 at 4ghz. I want to know if the orientation of the block is the most efficient.

Here is a picture of it as it is.

Block is orientated so that the "supreme" is upright and and can be read normally. However, it is mounted on an mATX board so is the block on upside down (eg see the lanparty script on the heatsink), would it benefit my temps to rotate the block 180 degrees?

Thanks

Matt

I always orient the block so that the exit port is the highest point on the block, so in your case, I would turn it 90 degrees anti-clockwise, but I doubt it will make a huge difference unless you have air trapped in the chamber, and the comb design used in the UK Supreme makes that incredibly unlikely. But it can't hurt to try.

I thought this was the correct orientation for a quad core and if I had a duel core then I would turn it 90 degrees. I am sure I have read that somewhere online.

It doesn't say that in the instructions.

Like Cob, I was under the impression that orientation wasn't important with the EK Supreme, and I always run mine exit port top to aid in the bleeding of the loop.
