Electronic Arts is doing PlayStation 3 owners a solid tomorrow, handing out Mirror's Edge downloadable content like it grows on trees. Dubbed "Synethesia,” the free time trial map is an abstract, dreamy affair.

The full time trial map pack for Mirror's Edge will hit in February, but this quick hit, exclusively for PS3 players, should keep you entertained for a while. Further details on Mirror's Edge DLC shenanigans at the official PlayStation blog. Video teaser after this...

I got Platinum on it, trust me once you get it you will be swept by a wave of relief, it's so frustrating but so rewarding.

I'm nearly done with the time trials and then get to start on the speed runs.
Which speed runs are the hardest?

I found Chapter 3 or 4 and 8 and 9 to be the most annoying.

I had 44th in the world on something, checked a day later and it was 300

I had a quick scoot about on it last night, got a star, will give it a more intensive run-out when I get the chance.
I think you're the only person on my friends list who's done the time trials btw, it's been fun seeing if my score beat yours when I get my stars!
I wonder if the stars I get from the free level will contribute to my 50 star trophy?
I've only got 4 stars to go I think and am finding the atrium levels an absolute nightmare! Got a single star on the first one, but found the 2nd one a real pain and gave up on my last session.
Still got the shard ones to do though, so I can hopefully manage it on those if I need to.
