*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

its people like me seeing t4 for the first time and saying this is awful why am i even playing this game.

Found myself in the scenario last night. The one with some sort of force field you have to click to get through. And I have to say is there any point to it or have I just not understood it? One game we just kept destro trapped, the next they just kept us trapped :S

Anyone seen the recently announced "free expansion" ?

Expansion my ar$e!

2 new classes and a few events/dungeons =! expansion.

Either way, I'm hoping there is more announcements to come, they seem to be spending far too much time preparing and releasing new content when everyone is screaming out for them to fix whats already there first...

I play rarely now, my mates have both quit...which is a shame, as its got so much promise but I'm tired of waiting for it to be 'fixed'.

I still play casually on both EU and US servers, most bugs etc dont' bother me as I don't play that much but if I had more time and was getting bored of T4 I'd probably give up entirely. As it is I'll be closing one of my accounts shortly. Concluded that there's very little between DAOC on EU or US support wise as EU are keeping fairly close patch versions with the US. US also have much more downtime with far more hotfixes which are then added in a batch to the EU servers.

Shame EU population is so dire compared to US though.. Should just ditch GOA and take everyone state side.

I might resubscribe when choppa and slay are released these careers looks like they could be fun.

Also, I started playing right at the start for a few months then stopped, we all know how the game was at the beginning and I was wondering if someone could give me some opinion on the current game state?

Did they improve the performance? Do you still feel disconnected from combat because of these awfull delay on casting spells and the global CD issues?
More ORVR taking places or are zones still empty?
Is everyone 40 and the lower levels zones empty?

They did stuff specifically to make the combat seem more responsive- ie when you hit a hotkey you actually seem to do the action. Worked well enough overall.

RvR is much improved population wise, they put a lot of rewards in for open RvR but it depends what server you're on too. People migrated to one of 3 or so servers, the rest are pretty dead.

I haven't logged in in about two weeks though. Started back into LOTRO and despite the fact that on paper WAR has a lot more going for it - scenarios, RvR, public quests etc, I just don't feel the desire to log in at all. Think it's the class imbalance, I just get frustrated knowing that if you come up against certain classes, you might as well just suicide.

I do get frustrated on occasions, ie as my archmage one on one with a witch elf, which doesnt have an "I win" key, more of an "I win keyboard". If I seem them first I can win though on occasions. Thing is I was used to WoW PvP, and when you come from that you don't really notice the imbalance anywhere near as much in WAR.

Because they've had 4 years to balance (less) classes, probably.

Leodido - there is *always* ORvR going on now, with the new changes...still needs tweeking though.

Saltank, it's a bit like AOC, once you get past about level 15 and see your character developing properly it's addictive. I was the same in AOC when my Tempest started to get new AOE abilities, I was hooked!

Try joining #warhammeronline on the QuakeNet IRC channel to find an opinion on which server to choose, there's also a UK channel on there if you want.

If youre oldish and have a low tolerance to wow kiddies and their geek speaking ways then try Burlock.
Its an RP server but its pretty relaxed and is in no way enforced... Just dont go naming yourself xgandalfx or whatever.

If you want Core rules, then Karak8Peaks is one of the busiest still, and I believe Order dominate slightly (especially as Destro currently have a renown bonus on there)

Karag Azgal is my other server, and thats busy too - Destro dominate heavily here though.

85% on level 39 on my main Kryler now.

Almost level 40... I can taste it!

I'm only Renoun Rank 37 though, so I seriously need to grind that up.

Got alts at 8,9 and 20 as well.

I roll on Dragonback Mountains by the way, lots of battles with destro in T3 and T4, our guild is still very active and averages around 40-50+ people online at peak times.

T1 and T2 are still kinda busy as lots of people are rerolling and we're getting people joining our server pretty often.

It's an Open RVR server btw :)

About time too - I've seen 8 Peaks change and it has always been a destro zerg fest. Order just didn't have the numbers to do anything - and I mean that you'd turn up in T4 and you'd have a ratio of 2-3 destro to order. Which meant that destro spent their time farming RR and VP points.
It's only now we have enough order people (and organisation) that we have finally (last night) got to the Inevitable City.

I believe that the majority of destro either gave up because Order got smart about being farmed so they had nothing todo (or had to run around more than just sit in the fort) or moved to a different server to take the bonuses for RR points..

Now the shoe is on the other foot and Order are providing a suitable opponent they've had to put a 20% bonus on destro.. Nothing like pampering spoilt brats.

As an aside I'm also attempting to get to 10,000 dark elf kills :D Currently I'm at 8.9K and over 9K elves. I want the title and two pips!
