What wax is good for waxing my car after applying all the autogylm SRP and the EGP??

ive never used wax before is it easy to use?

currently im a big fan of Dodo Juice a standard Carnauba Wax, can be applied by a foam applicator. However dependent on wax it can be applied by rubbing it in with your hands. Easy to apply just make sure you give it enough time to cure(so to speak) and buff to a hopefully high gloss finish.

loads people will say........... Collinite No. 476S not bad choice, just ive used it to much and i wanted change so dojo is latest.

p.s. try some Chemical Guys Wet Mirror Finish prior

Gonna lurk in this thread....I was also planning to wash the car for the first time in months tomorrow and would fnacy some suggestions for durable wax...

<_<
>_>

Ok, i carry this around with me also, its an off the shelf product from halfords, if a little expensive much cheaper online, but been as you need it tomorrow then ill suggest.

Meguiars Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Car Wax £13.99

Also

Meguiars Nxt Generation Tech Car Wax 2.0 is not to bad either for off the shelf product.

think thats like £17.99 or something seen it in halfords last time there.

i would suggest going for the gold class, due to the fact it provides you with applicator for applying, and has instructions how to apply.

What do you want from the wax? Do you want super durable proterction that will last months or do you want a better finish?
If you want endurance, use Collinite 476S or 945.
If you want an awesome finish, use anything from the Chemical Guys, Poorboys, Dodo Juice or Victoria Ranges. Depending on how much you're willing to spend they all do a pretty damn good job and unless your paint is in very good condition, you probably won't notice the difference between them that much. Some of them have colour specific waxes so keep an eye out for that.

IMO Meguiars waxes are poor in comparison as are most of the waxes available from Halfords.

Does anyone know a good polish and wax/sealant for yellow paint?

I have Megs #7 and Chemical Guys wet mirror finish which i used on my old car but don't know if they will be ok for yellow.

Thanks.

For brightly coloured cars, i've seen some very good results with the Dodo waxes.

For dark/black cars i'd recommend Collinite 915 or P21S

Collinite.

476s

Applied mine months ago and it's still beading after every wash and the car has a very deep gloss to it after every wash.

looks like the weather is going to be far to cold to polish the car :( and the fact that it keeps raining doesnt help.

i would do it in the garage but i have no electric in there and its dark lol

If you're using SRP and EGP, who needs wax. Just put on 3 or 4 layers of EGP and you'll get a great finish, which will outlast any wax.

If you must cover with a wax then dodo supernatural looks great on red

This man speaks the truth.... why did i not think of that

not really, he is asking what wax so people are giving suggestions. Now if he put's 3-4 layers and takes advice then he is on the right track ;) pointless doing half job.
