Oh deary, deary me.

It's non-sequitur. Do you even know what you wrote?

Not often a Grammar Nazi gets PWNED to the maxima.

I never claimed to be a Spelling Nazi, only a Grammar Nazi. There is a difference, you know?

I'm sure you're also aware that maxima is plural, not singular. You were probably trying to sound cool. Keep it up.

Also, slightly ironic that you respond to my accusation of a non-sequitur with a non-sequitur.

Oh dear. Seems like you are more of a Wikipedia Nazi.

Shame really, had you had a slight grasp of the English language I would have respected you. My use of Maxima was pure slang and no more my "friend".

Spelling, Grammar... you would have to be a pedant with a less interesting life than a Woodlouse to make a meal of that.

The defence rests M'Lud.

Not entirely sure how you conclude that...

Hence why I said it was being said to sound cool, which - BTW - it didn't.

Eh, I'm waiting while my computer does something time consuming. Why not troll a troll?

Does it? It's still yet to point out why having a Mac would make one's opinion worthless, which was the original issue. Further irony arises, in fact, in that your non-sequitur of choice was to accuse me of being inept in my post of Grammar Nazi, given my spelling mistake.

I do actually agree with this in a way.

a guy who I work with was living in Italy for seven months, but couldnt find employment due to the Italians taking priority over every job, might sound harsh, but 'Great' Britian needs to put themselves first for a change and take on a similar approach, if other countries can do it, why cant we?

Cheap foreign labour does not help a country.

The influx cheapens the labour market, and makes people even less inclined to work.

If there were no foreigners at all, then the low level jobs would be paid better and more people would be in work.

Totally agree with this, I have said the exact same thing a year or so ago. People would have more money cutting down crime a fair whack as well.

A lot of English unemployed people in this country want to work, but are unable to as foreigners have a totally different culture to us. Most English people are far too arrogant and set their sights far too high being the main problem

That's a pretty drastic diagnosis after one mistake!

Mistakes are obviously not tolerated, or you would not have singled out my MINUTE mistake.

Live by the sword, die by the sword. The sheer irony is too much to handle.

Anyway, lets stick on topic please.

We (some of us) are being serious about our country.

I watched Jimmy Carr's 2008 DVD earlier tonight. He said something about people complaining about eastern euros coming here and stealing their jobs - the eastern euros don't speak english fluently, don't know anyone and have just moved here - and they're taking your job? How **** are you! :) It amused me greatly.

I'm a foreigner stealing a british job btw.

Your maxima mistake? I only mentioned it after you'd started throwing the spelling card at me when I spelt non-sequitur wrong.

Besides, as I said, I wasn't sure you were making a mistake with maxima, as it's unlikely that anyone smart enough to know the word maxima would go on to use it without knowing what it meant.

And as I've said, the irony of you using the non-sequitur of my spelling mistake to avoid backing up your claim that using a Mac makes ones opinion invalid is also pretty striking.

Good skills. My mum was the same.

I'm a british person that stole a foreigners job, but to be honest i'm working in the most multicultural/multinational office i've ever been in and its not just token antipodeans on their travels.

how about best person for the job and sod where they come from? you want the job get sum skillz innit?

I am of the opinion that you should be added to this "poll" due to the disgraceful thread derailment, that appears worse than a German ICE crash into a bridge.

Some people do not care if every letter, or piece of punctuation is of the highest order. Normal people just want to have a discussion and get a point accross, and not have their threads dysekted*.
