Forza 2

There are some great cars in the download packs. If you are a car nut I'd get them.

As to downloading the free cars means you can see the other cars properly. I didn't know that, so will be downloading bits of the September pack (I think) which I haven't bought yet.

Bargain of the year that was, im finding all the cheaper games (Forza 2, Splinter Cell, Rainbox Six Vegas) to be the best games i have played on the 360 to date.

Same here, just after i got my 360 I sniped Forza, Gears of War and Virtua Tennis 3 on ebay for just under £30.. back in october... bargin..:D

Forza came free the xbox I picked up a few weeks back. Started playing it last week and I'm really liking it. Those with wheels do you find it easier or harder?

Bro just got me a wheel, i had to do a D class race on the Ring to get used to it because i kept crashing as it's a slight bit slower to act/react with. About 3hrs later i was pulling 55's on Tsukuba with A-Class and on a far smoother racing line that usual, so i think it's just a matter of time before i get back to my old lap times (mid 54's) and perhaps better

If you have great dexterity (very smooth throttle use and steering) then you may not be faster using a wheel but if you wobble, turn in too much (losing front tyre traction) and slide about often then the wheel should help.

End of the day though, i think the wheel is much more fun to race with.. hotlap times be dammed, you can't beat having a 'fun' race.

update:

i found these settings for the wheel better than the default..

Also started playing this last night. Got to level 8 and really enjoyed it. Much more fun when I turned TC and ABS off although it is very easy to lock the brakes!

Is anyone able to give me some driving tips, I still can't quite seem to master it.

I'm getting back into playing after a hefty break.

Plus, all donation gratefully accepted :)

Likewise, I just picked this up today and should be looking for some online racing with fellow OCUK'ers sooner rather than later :o)

Cool, I'm a bit naff but wouldn't mind a race at some point.

Anyone have some tips for different driving FWD/RWD/AWD, like how it affects your driving style and how I should treat each one differently?

was good to have a quick run out yesterday Squark... the first lap of Laguna Seca was fun... I hope that once i've had the game longer than an hour I can be a little more consistent :)

I got the limited edition for £10 the other day but i'm finding it so hard as i'm spending all my time in the gravel or looking at the barriers, i just find this game so hard after playing Grid and PGR4 which are more of a arcade racers

Stick with it imo, I think its a VERY rewarding game once you get in to it.

I have had a few endurance races with friends, probably the best racing experience I have had online. (never tried LFS or GPL)

Yep, it was a laugh, I enjoyed it very much.
You were doing a lot better than I did when I first got the game.

I look forward to another race soon.

Still very much playing this, been playing with the same people most nights now for about a year and a half lol.
