Who has SKY HD+?

No closing date, it looks like they'll be this price for the long haul, but the queue is going to get horrendous.

PS. If you have sky talk, it's a better deal to do it over the phone. you get 6 month's half price line rental which works out as £30 off as opposed to the one month's free HD sub.

Interesting, maybe I'll wait till the end of Feb

I saw that option when I looked at doing it on-line

Apparently this is the price from now on, kinda shows that they won't be dropping the hd £10 sub anytime soon :(

I ordered it today online and it's turning up next Saturday. It's the install cost that bugs me.

Getting a FreeSat HD for the HD TV in the bedroom. Can you run the Sky+ just recieving freeview channels as I'll have a spare Sky + box. Failing that I may try and ebay it

Please note, if you already have multiroom then the installation fee is £30.
I has cost me £79 to upgrade from Sky+ with a standard multiroom to Sky+HD and Sky+ multiroom.

Not bad considering the Sky+HD box was £99 alone beforehand.

I'm hacked off about the drop in price of the box because its being funded by the HD sub staying - SKY's strategy is more boxes out there more subs.

Imagine that.... anyone would think they were a business trying to make money!

Great idea by sky really, they are guarenteed to have the sky hd sub coming in from each customer for at least 12 months.
Anyway, I was quoted 3 - 4 weeks for order, but i got a text telling me to order today, so its due to be installed as a multiroom box (my bedroom) a week today, £49 quid and no installation charge :D

I’ve had it for a year now and it just gets better and better, what with new channels popping up and the new HD guide due out soon, the £10 is very good value for what you get HD sport such as football and cricket are awesome the same for movies, plus discovery HD is a good channel also :D All in all couldn’t be happier just about 30+ HD channels for £10

Why is it such a big deal? It's only a tenner, a pretty tiny sum that I certainly don't even notice leaving my acconut every month.

A lot of people dont have money to throw away. £10 a month is a lot to me and a lot of other people. Could be used on much more useful things like bills.

I don't look at the monthly cost (indeed £10 a month doesn't seem much) it's when you multiply it over 12 months - £120 then it starts to feel a bit more eek

I've done my sums and we can afford it, so I've ordered it. I'll just have to cut back elsewhere if I want an R32 MK5 / Audi TT before the end of the year (cash purchase, NOT finance)

Do you really have to pay an installation cost? Surely all they are doing is coming and literally swapping a Sky+ box with a Sky HD box? How can that justify £30 when I could do it myself?

I had that lengthy discussion with them about this and they wouldn't budge. All I said is he better not bugger anything up like brick work from last time.

Either way I'll be watching him like a hawk and will be in contact with Sky if anything is breathed on in the wrong way.

Yet they can afford a standard Sky sub in the first place, an HDTV and a Sky+ HD box?

If you can afford that lot, you can afford an extra tenner a month.
