I bought a squeezy tub of this stuff whilst in a store in Winsford today, cost me £1 for a decent size, though it would be normal chili sauce. Its not..far far FAR from it, it is made from....

...ready?

Scotch Bonnet Chilies
and
Habanero Chilies

ORIGINAL HOT PEPPER SAUCE

For over 40 years Encona Hot Pepper Sauce has been prepared to an authentic Caribbean recipe using only the very best Scotch Bonnet and Habanero Peppers blended with traditional island spices

OUCH!!

Jalapenos are spicey enough, let alone these babies.

Heres how they compare on the 'Scoville Scale':

100,000 - 350,000 Habanero chile
100,000 - 325,000 Scotch bonnet
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::cool:
2,500 - 8,000 Jalapeño

Hmmm.....

Any ideas what to have with the sauce? Was oringinaly going to mix it with some Tomato Puree to form the base sauce for a pizza, give it a bit of zing...but seems a little too hot for that.

Ideas please...i beg off you!!

Itl be perfectly fine for mixing like that, I dont find it hot at all more sweet than anything but if you dont like the heat just use a little less :)

Use it as a dipping sauce for chips / roast potatoes, or pizza or cheese on toast etc etc. Sauce of the Gods.

Put a little dribble in your baked beans for the best beans on toast you've ever had.

When you say 'a decent size', could you elaborate? Pictures would help.

Tempted to pick some up.

I say you use it to make a sauce for some nachos, that would be very nice!
Try using it with some nando's sauces or doritos sauces, they would go together like bread and butter :D

post a link to buy them or something, or whats the point

edit thanks for the link, any you recommend (im prob gonna read the thread now and see you already have lol!)

We have this and use it with everything, cheese sandwiches with it are nice, as is a bit mixed with pasta, or on steak, in mashed potatoes etc etc.
