Bought it a few day ago,, and its awsome:D, I thought it was gonna be quite boring, and to be honnest it is quite boring when your traveling long distances and can only go 90k if you can reach those speeds with a heavy trailer on the back, but its quite rewarding tho. Its real realistic too, you have to stop for rests, get fuel, bay the speed limets, ect. Im getting to the stage where I will be able to have flamable liquids on the back, like diesel ect and I bet that will slow my truck up abit:D Heres 2 of my screenies , as you can see Ive stopped for fuel, before traveling from Brussels to Bordeaux

I think you gotta learn to park straight before you get to flamable liquids:D

You should have seen how I turned in to the fuel station, almost missed the turning, so it was a emergency turning. Im trying to park up next to the green truck for a rest in that pic, but as you can see, im not doing a very good job of it. But its real hard going backwards with a trailer cos you have to turn the opposite way you want the trailer to go.

Looks ok, I quite like sims though. If you don't mind me asking, why won't you be able to drive?

Ihave cerebral palsy and when Im concentrating the quietest of noises make me jump 10ft, so it would be carnage on the roads if I got behind the wheel:D

Im doing well trucking tho, I managed todo 10 job now without causing damage to the cargo, my truck or other road users, I dont know how tho, cos I keep missing my turnings and having todo uturns, and if I turn to tightly my dam trailer falls off:D

It's boring unless it takes like 10 hours to cross Europe.

No its not in real time,, now that would be boing, It took me about 15 -20mins to get to Bordeaux from the fuel station(Brussels) in the pics.

Edit: Miss to read the word "unless". I think that would be well boring or are you being funny???

I thought it was quite fun but would have liked the cities to be bigger.

They only consist of a few streets each and the rest is motorway.

Also would be nice if you could drive to (in) UK.

Yeah, i play it now and then, gets a bit old, i just saved up bought the big volvo and drove flat out all over the place, got the second licence, upgraded the truck a touch, but its a lot of grinding to try and get money.
But then again a 10k job from poland to france, you need to fill up twice almost, then the way i drive, i'd get about 5-10 speeding tickets so i end up making 6-7k a job minus servicing for and "incidents" i have on the way.

As a game itself, it's there are few cabs, every place looks the same, the loads are all the same, single trailer etc, easy to get sick of and not overly realistic.

Should do, works with Driving force pro. (don't know about the H-shifter though)

Steering seems really sensetive though, not tried to many settings with it though.

I found it terrible.

It left out 90% of all motorways in Europe, the interchanges are terrible poor detailed and not authentic, the traffic is not realistic/way too light, roads are undetailed too and not authentic, you have 3 lanes in the game where in reality at that bit there may be 6 lanes per direction. There are no collector/feeder lanes at places where there are in reality, and it's just terribly worked out.

Especially the Benelux area, Paris area and Ruhr in Germany are a disgrace ingame, here's a map of the actual motorways, all the orange roads are motorways except some, say 3 or 4 small bits of road ( which are simply dual carriageways with 2 driving lanes and an emergency lane ) :

benelux.jpg

That means they left out more than 90% of the major roads .

Now I understand why they can't make everything perfect, but they even left out the most important trucking routes aka The ports of Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerpen, Duikerken and Le Havre, pretty much all important places where trucks come from/travel to and important industrial area's like the Ruhr in Germany...

I found it brilliant, much easier with a steering wheel than keyboard though!
I did find it was more interesting starting in germany or france compared to some of the others though :)

That would be awsome, but Wouldnt it need a stupidly fast pc to handle all the data, plus it would take much longer to get from A to B.

I'm not asking for a recreation of the whole country, ( well actually I'd love to have something like that but...) just a bit more details like at least the important ports and roads of Europe and a bit more effort into the roads and interchanges would be nice, in relation to reality...

I just downloaded the demo, and i gotta say its quite fun, see i love driving but have the out of game driving skills of a sloth so this is awesome.
