Hmmm sounds interesting. Would you take on any students looking for work experience?

Sorry for the thread hijack!

Big Finish is a small company with only a very few full and part-time employees. Regrettably this means that we have neither the time or the resources to accomodate work experience placements. Sorry.

Hurry up!

Tell you what would make it amazing, if you dressed up in a darth vader outfit and animated the force building your pc!

Well I have now recieved all of the components on the list apart from the OCZ Vertex SSD. Instead I bought a 30GB OCZ Solid Series to use as the system drive until the Vertex becomes available and then I will use the Solid Series SSD as my main production drive.

I will be building the studio PC this weekend as it is the only weekend I have totally free so if anyone wants something specific they would like to see during the build then speak now :)

I may post pics here before the video podcast is released too.

Well the studio PC is now up and running and I've played GTA IV on it using maximum settings, woo!

Here are some pre-Vidcast pics with an ATCS 840 size comparison to the P180:

I see you're using East West, 12GB will come in handy! :) Will you be storing the libraries on a single drive or do you have a dedicated raid array? - i'm currently running a raid-0 (everythings backed up on CDs anyways) for my libraries, although with things like BFD/Akoustik/East West 500GBs disappears pretty quick :(

Although curious to why you've chosen the PC route over Mac? And more importanly why you went with Vista instead of XP?

Interesting project though, get the video up!! :p

I have dedicated drives for each section of the Eastwest orchestra, choirs and SD2 but they're not in raid.

Although I like the look of OS X I'm not a big fan of the Mac system. I love building PCs and playing games when I can so I would rather have my own custom built PC with the components I choose. :)
