Danbo group buy

Right following on from the 'post your pictures here' thread. I've been chatting to Greywolf and he's giving me a link which has them cheap but shipping is expensive.

However, if we buy 5 of them providing we don't get hit by import duty each Danbo will work out at £23.60 (if checked by customs VAT will be added)

On a very serious note who would be willing to pitch into this?

For payment I will setup a paypal account and do everything through that so the transactions are trackable.

The only possible additional cost is import duty....nobody can guarantee that we won't be hit by it but theres every chance we won't.

If we are charged import duty we will split it as evenly as possible.

The maximum per order is 5 Danbo's

So who wants one? Sign up...when we have 5 we can arrange the rest from there.

Yup from the series Yotsuba&! and is Miura Hayasaka (from the series) dressed up as a cardboard box robot. So actually its a she. It is made by the Japanese company Kaiyodo / Revoltech. There are several versions with different box markings, there is also a mini version as well, where as this is the full sized version and is around 5-6 inches tall. Its full name is Danboard.

They do a couple of special edition ones with like markings on the cardboard but the overall design is the same. The plain one looks best anyway

Not that I am interested in subscribing to this but it seems to me you should be more clear how much this is going to cost people in the likely event customs and VAT will be charged. I think they days of things slipping through customs unnoticed are long gone from my experience.
