UT3 - now you can add retail to Steam

I notice that the steam version included the phsyx levels, but is missing the first bonus pack containing facingworlds, morbias and searchlight levels. Bonus pack installer did work fine, just point to the ut3 folder stored within steam folder.

looking forward to the upcomming update. I completed single player, didnt play to much online, but maybe now steam is involved that will change ;).
 
I added the game, but I dont get any achievements menu related to the game at all :(

Rather a shallow thing to be upset over, but for some reason I do like getting achievements.
 
i was wondering when this big patch would come out, and also if i ever format is steam's game backup option reliable?
 
Well I finally got this game posted through my door today.

Installed and used the posted by others to get it working on Steam.

Now big problem is everytime I try to change the resolution to my native resolution, 1920x1200 from the default 1024x768, it just ends up being a black screen and I can't do anything. No ALT-TAB or ALT-F4 or anything. The computer doesn't crash, just a black screen and all I can do is a hard reset. Tried changing to other resolutions or even windowed mode, same thing.

What in the hell is wrong with this stupid game? If its problems like this, no wonder this game does not have as many players online if they cannot even do the simpliest things.
 
There are some bugs in the system.

I had a few issues but then installed the Nvidia 185.20 beta's from Guru3D and it's been fine since.

could be worth going into the games config ini and setting the resolution from there before loading the game. Im at work so cant say the command for sure but i guess if u search for 1024*768 in the utengine.ini located in the mydoc/mygames/ut3/config folder u should be able to find it.
 
Well I spent some time reading around and it seems like it is mostly an issue with the latest Nvidia drivers, 181.22. I ended up installing the 180.48 drivers and it completely fixed the problem.

I been gaming on it for the past 5 hours now (I don't sleep :p) and my god, huge lack of populated servers.
 
there's not many servers that have tons o' people on, but I've always managed to find a few vehicle CTF servers that are nearly full :)

hopefully the patch will bring about a new community.
