Always disable it myself
Always disable it myself
I'm still baffled as to why people still insist on disabling User Account Control.
Because I don't need it. Simple as that.
I'm sorry but do you even know what it does?
Of course.
I turn it off, oh and on my laptop for some reason the 'real time scanning' was hogging resources like crazy.
I never run the thing, I don't see much point. I have my usual anti-virus and things like spybot & adware for the real stuff. Lets be honest, how many people have found something with windows defender?
In your opinion then, running routinely as a full blown administrator which means every process and program has free access to everything on the system is a good thing and the right way to go about things?
I think UAC is useful in the following three scenarios:-
1) The user has limited computer knowledge.
2) The user potentially installs corrupt software.
3) The user visits questionable web sites.
If none of those apply and the system is otherwise adequately defended then there is no reason to use UAC.
