I missed them because i wasnt able to buy one over the weekend so i just got a BFG GTX 280 OC.

Ah right, well i would say search around a bit on the internet and see what you can get for your money.
I would personally say a 4870, the 1gb version preferably.
Have you thought about getting a second hand card? there are a lot out there going for very cheap that still have warranty.
I managed to find a new BFG GTX 280 OC for £249
