Hi some one built a water cooling PC for me. I was told thou that I need to change the blue water fezer stuff or what ever its called every 6 months.

The guy thou said I would need to take one of the pipes off and let it drain in to a bucket and to tilt my pc up and down to get it all out. My PC ways a ton thou Mozart case!.

Do you no of something I can buy like a valve/tap or something that will allow me to drain my PC a lot more easier and refill it, with out having to unscrew a pipe ?

I am looking for the easiest option here thou as I didn't build a water cooling PC my self for the reason of I am not that good at things like that.

Thanks for help !!

With all due respect, buying a water cooled PC and not understanding how it works is asking for trouble. If it has not been built with a resevoir or fill port to allow drainage and refill easily, then I would suggest taking out the entire loop to drain. The previous owner must have been able to fill it up though so surely you can drain it somewhere?

You want something like this:

Add these to your loop after the pump outlet and before the radiator to allow for easy drain off, but as others have said why every 6 months?

Also you would do well to put some effort into learning the basics/essentials of water cooling as inevitably you will have to maintain your own loop. You dont need any technical skills as such.

Edit: Just noticed that OCUK stock both of the above.

Given your admitted lack of experience I would think your bigger problem is going to be filling the system up again after you've drained it. It is not as straight forward as it sounds by any means. You would be better off either fully genning yourself up on the ins and outs of water cooling, or getting someone else to do it for you. Also, you only really need to consider draining your system if you have noticed a clear degradtion in performance since it was originally set up. This is be indicated by higher cpu temperatures now compared to new which would indicate possible build up in the blocks or radiator which would also require those taking out and cleaning, again not a simple job for a novice. If your computer is behaving as you want it, i.e. not overheating and/or crashing then there is actually little need to drain it anyway, certainly not after 6 months.

I will take the time to learn the basics. thanks for the 2 pictures !!

Can any one tell me what these are called so I can search for them and buy them ?? is there a certain search term I should be looking for, drainage valve ?

Guys am I right in thinking that the Ball Valve needs to go were I have listed the number 1 so I can drain it.

And the other parts on the Y I need to connect to my loop.

So you've sussed out how to fill the system back up again after you've drained it have you?

No I am unsure how to refill it i am guessing I fill it via the res ? I need to make sure as well that water is running through my pump as well don't I as they are not meant to run dry.

I think when I get back to the UK I will take some pictures and show you guys my setup and you can advise the best place to put it.

Thanks !
