Playstation.blog - Flower release date announced.

Finally, feels like I've been waiting an eternity for this game, glad we've got a release date, Feb 12th isn't too bad, that will fill the gap for a couple of weeks until KZ2 is out.

Looks like fl0w in 3D above ground. Gotta get this, loved the original fl0w from back when it was a free Flash game, and the PS3 version was very good.

Is there any point to this game? Looks pretty (if you're gay or a girl) but seriously. WTF?

I know I don't have a PS3 but I'd say the same if if was coming out on 360. I just don't get it...
 
What is this game? Seriously. All the videos I've seen just show some petals floating around in what looks like 'Tellytubby land' with no seeming point or aim.
(don't know if the links above show any different as they are blocked at work)
 
It's a relaxation game, like Fl0w it has gentle soothing music and a smooth flow to its game play, you gently glide around the meadows collecting petals.

I personally think Fl0w is an amazing with with its chill out sounds and feel to the game. I will definitely be purchasing this.

fl0w is quite a niche game tbh. Originally it was just a free flash based game, which I used to play. The PS3 version just added loads of creatures, music and better graphics.

I cannot get enough of it, but onlookers always watch and think it looks really weird and basic.

Might buy the USA version on 12th if it is not released in EU at the same time.

I agree! There is nothing I like more than coming home from a busy day at work and relieving my stress by acting like a flower and collecting petals.

I see from your sig that you've been playing Mirror's Edge, I don't think being a flower petal is any more gay than being a girl prancing around and doing gymnastics on top of brightly coloured buildings?

See? You can boil any game down to a shallow element for purposes of slating if you try hard enough.

I'm only interested in how it plays and if it's enjoyable.

US has been priced at $9.99. I think they are released the same day. We should get it first due to time difference.
