£2400 Aftershave... ;)

I would lol if in 50 years you opened the box and found it had evaporated. Bump the thread in 50 years!!!

I don't think it's the aftershave that would be worth the money! Anyway - I did pay a *fraction* of that price so it was definitely worth the punt to whack it up in the loft and hope it gains value. If it doesn't - no loss - will make a nice paperweight!! :)

The bottle looks terrible (looks cheap), the gold thing would look OK in a £million home.

Does it just sit in the box? or is it held in place?
How much?? :p

Yeah you're right - I was disappointed with the gold thing. It looks like a matt finish in the cg renders whereas it's really shiny gold. I actually like the bottle though.

The box is leather lined and there is a grove which this sits in.

Well in 50 years £2,400 would become £27.5k at a 5% interest rate, much more if it was invested. I wouldn't bet on some old denatured aftershave making that.

Erm no. Anyone who can afford £2400 on aftershave is not a idiot, they are most likely the person you work for.

There is a difference between being able to afford it, and actually spending £2.4k on a box. ;)

They don't charge the extra money for the box - it's the gold sculpted wing shape thing.

I'm sure they charge a fair bit for the carbon fibre box :p

I paid 10% of the price tag :)

Bloody good deal you got there, especially as you could quadruple your money with ease. I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to pay £1k or more for it. Probably be best keeping it for a while like you've planned though :)
