Didn't expect that from a bishop.
Probably best to conclude that most denyers should just be ingnored... (i mean hard core denyers, not people who question the figures or promote further debate on the past etc.)
Amazingly so any person who has some "questioning" to do is immediately called a denier even if he concurs with the core of the story which is that jews died in a genocide. If we deny other historical events nobody cares but with the holocaust you can't touch the subject. I understand why but I disagree.
If my mother was killed by "someone" I wouldn't wanna touch the subject just for the sake of it either, however, if someone had some plausible arguments based on evidence to bring forward that would enhance the truth of what really happened I would really like to get to the bottom of it as it would have certainly helped me to try to prevent such a event from happening again to other family members even if at its core this subject would have been difficult to bear.Whatever deters impartial investigation is for me detrimental.
Similarly so racism is a subject again people are unwilling or incapable of discussing without emotions and fights taking over. We really need to grow up

You seem to be of the thought that what is said to have took place in the Holocaust did not happen at all - or the details that are taken as truth are greatly skewed.
I have not really read the intricate details of the Holocaust, but why don't you tell us your thoughts on what happened there - if you want a civilised debate put your thoughts forward would be interesting to read.
Rich
I don't believe that what I write suggests that i don't believe the official story. I speak in general when I say that I don't like alienation of people when they simply wanna get to the bottom of things alone or who simply like to keep an open mind and see what we call "further investigation" as something that can lead us to better understanding rather than see it as something dangerous you shouldn't be doing.
I don't believe that people are mature enough to debate the holocaust, racism, religions without ending up with a "me against you" situation and name calling. My hands are off with these subjects
Didn't expect that from a bishop.
True - but then it is an intensely sensitive subject.
