One of the lads in the office heard this on the radio so for anyone thats heard it before, ignore it :).

"If Earth's history was represented as 365 days, at what point along that scale would different events have taken place?"

The events are:
- The death of the dinasours
- The creation of the pyramids
- Man landing on the moon

edit: Thanks to Moses99p for writing the question in English :).

- The death of the dinasours July 1st 11:11pm
- The creation of the pyramids December 31st 11:58pm
- Man landing on the moon December 31st 11:59pm

What do I win? :p

dinasours died out in the early hours of 27th december
pyramids around 31st december 23:59:20
moon landing around 23:59:59: of the 31st december

mine is most accurate, use the folllowing

1 full day = 12,438,356 years
1 hour = 518,264 years
1 minute = 8637 years
1 second = 144 years
1 ms = 0.144 years

thats the most realistic answer so far.

The Earth is 4.54 billion years old [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth]
= 1,658,199,580,000 days {1}

So, in a scale of 365 days (Julian days) each day is worth
365/1658199580000 = 0.000,000,000,220,118,256 {2}

The dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago [http://pubs.usgs.gov/gip/dinosaurs/extinct.html]:
= 23,740,742,900 days {3}

Which was (days after the earth was created)
{1}-{3} = 1,634,458,837,100 days {4}

Therefore in a 365 days scale it would be:
{2}*{4} = 359.7742287262400976 days
= December 25th, 18:34:53

Just in time for Christmas tea.

Assuming that's correct, someone else can do the rest :p.

Nothing, because given that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, using your scale the planet would only be about 130-140 million years old, rather than 4.54 billion :p

Platinum and Pho seem to have the best answers so far.
