Sorry, I'd have to say that you are being told the wrong things.

Most slimmer girls I know are so due to genetics, not starving themselves.

They are also more likely to be gym goers and thus healthier.

An overweight girl eating well and going to the gym wouldn't be an overweight girl for very long

this is talking slightly overweight though most slightly underweight girls i know are so because they don't eat properly, how can you possibly know that most of the 'slightly' underweight girls you know are underweight because of genetics without being a scientist? to me slightly overweight girls look a bit more healthy, have healthier complexions and see more bubbly than slightly underweight girls, just my observations though

I dont see the point of this, it is quite well known that people find people similar to themselves attractive so it depends on the individual. As most people are "overweight" the winner will be overweight but when you are a lean sex machine like myself obviously the thinner girl will be more appealing.

Not always true, ive got a large build (Read, not fat lol ) and prefer skinny girls.

Im 6'3" and weigh 14.5 stone with a 34 waist just for reference.

It depends how you're going to define slightly and correct weight!

I voted underweight, but now I'm not so sure. I think it depends on the persons build, I'd go for overweight on someone with a bigger frame and underweight on someone with a smaller frame.
