Battlefield 1943 (PC, XBLM, PSN)

Three maps is a ridiculous amount, surely they can't go live with that as the end result?

I loved 1942 on the PC and this was possibly the only online game I enjoyed at the time (I had no headset for comms)

I will definitely pick this up providing they don't overcharge. Shame about only being 3 maps. The COD beta's and most of the FPS MP demos were free and had 3 maps so does seem a little stingy.
 
I just spoke to a guy I know at EA as I needed an update on something and I mentioned my "excitement" (didn't want to **** him off) at this announcement. He mentioned the development of BF:BC2, BF:Bad Company and BF:Heroes, and then, his own words, "We're milking it as much as we can!"

LOL - He has no involvement with the BF franchise but I thought it was funny as he said what I wanted to say!
 
I think it looks awesome, was a huge bf 1942 fan so it'll be good to see the maps on the new engine.

I was a huge fan of BF 1942 and the mod Desert Combat... and played them solidly for two years. I think things have moved on though and these devs need to come up with something thats new and inovative.
