They did blow up one of the models. Sadly, the second one fell off a storage shelf and was destroyed. :(

Sorry to be a killjoy but i thought i'd get that in there for future 'i told you so!!11' oppertunities.

Without Rob Grant as a part-writer it just wasn't funny any more, i'm willing to bet this will be the same.
 
I hope they have cut the budget - for me the series went downhill at the same time they raised budget i.e. S7 . all the best written BBC series had terrible budgets (black adder and the walls that kept shaking lol).

Yeah it had some moments that were quite funny i'll give you that. Problem is, i absolutely adore the older seasons and 7+8 were just shadows of its former self to me. When i say 'it'll be pap' due to my gigantic bias you should read it as 'it'll still be better than most things on tele but nowhere near as good as it used to'.
 
Get Rimmer some just4men and they pretty much look the same. Think most of us know its not going to be as good as most of the older stuff, but are hoping its a least decent, we'll all still watch it regardless and its cool to see them back.
