Ohh, I hope you have some good deals this week. I was expecting to be able to buy the 4870 1GB last Friday, but couldn't. I could now, but it's not in stock! How infuriating! So yeah, make it up to me with awesome dealage and I'll give you all a big hug. :D
 
well still awaiting to here back :(

5-7 days for the testing procedure, oh come on thought u might have been able to look at it today, canny have that many rma's to get through or do ya's? take like 10mins max to test this fs

and i see there aint noot left in stock of these cards bah!

whats going to happen then if the card is fail?
 
Well i got my card around 1 hour ago, put it in my computer and then boom, my PSU fries like an egg, guess im going to wait till i get my other rig.
 
To be fair, this week's X2 2Gb offer is...

£289.99 ex VAT £333.49 inc VAT divide by 2 = £166.75

Last week's 4870 1Gb was...

£144.99 ex VAT £166.74 inc VAT ->->->->->-^^^^^^

So basically it's the same great deal (price "per card") all in one package :)

Do you reckon if I give them £166.75, they'll be kind enough to saw a 4870 X2 in half and send me the end with the DVI ports?
 
Am loving this card - Crysis Warhead has shown massive improvements over my 512mb 3870 :)

At 1920*1200 with high settings (not the highest) I was getting around 3/4fps with 8xAA on the 3870 and now get just over 20fps on the 4870 so it's made that setting more than playable.

An the card didn't even become audible over the hum of the pc while doing that which is awesome :D

Still waiting on mine >.< - Apparently have had 2 lots of delivery agents and is currently 'HSD Out for Delivery awaiting IOD' here.
 
How are you peeps finding the Oc'ing on these? Mine struggles with anything over 775/990 :(

(not bought from OcUK though)
 
know what bothers me the most, is i'm currently having problems with this bloody card and not one of the people that i would consider as staff or certainly post like they are staff haven't answered anything i have to say about the card.

they have completely ignored what i have to say and have responded to others within this thread after i've posted what i have to say.

now that says one thing to me, that u guys couldn't really give a bleep about my situation and it makes me quite angry as your quick enough to take the cash but so quick when support for these cards is required within these forums its a joke.
 
Well the thing to do would be post in the Customer Support section of the forum - giving them your order number so they know what product you're on about ... they will respond to your enquiries there :)

We have a dedicated support forum for customer specific problems. Please post your issue there and we'll get you an answer ASAP.

Perhaps ring them up or post in the customer support forum? You WILL get a response from there.

This is not the place to be discussing such things fella, its a public forum remember..
