Poll: OcUK Colour Scheme

Would you prefer to keep the existing blue or change the modified black theme?

Well, black won, but not by much. I'm unsure about changing something so many people regard as OcUK through and through.

Its your forum dude, try the black, see how we get on with it and how many "i hate the black theme" threads/complaints we get in a month and most people will grow to it anyway..
 
if i was presented with both i was say the black is nicer... but because we have had a blue forum for so long its what im used to know and it would be weird as any other colour :p

maybe just add the black theme and let people select which one they want? many other forums do this
 
I wouldn't change it personally, leave blue as default.

If you can, put an option in the User CP to change it to black if it's easily do-able...I've never had the black lay out, and I seem to class the blue layout as the OcUK theme now after so long of using it, so hey.
 
I think people should have the choice...to the new user it wouldn't matter to them, as it would then be the default colour.

For those of us that have been here x amount of years (not that it matters) are just 'used' to the colour scheme that is set now...

So having a choice would be the best in my opinion...Up to Spie though obviously.

Are there not 'issues' with the black theme though in some instances?

Possibly not but you'd be looking at several times the number of black forums compared to blue forums (note the way you're calling it the "blue of OcUK", the fact you're being that specific shows there is probably something that sets it apart from most).

That said black did win so in the interests of fairness it should probably be an option at least if it is possible to allow both.

Lol thats one thing i hate about OcUK, theres always someone out there who can spot any technicality in what you say!!
 
I've been using black on here for a few weeks now.

Used another machine without the script thing installed and blue looked so horrible and dated. Good work to whoever designed the black theme by the way.

Or what was the point of the poll if you were never going to change it anyway. The users have voted in favour of black but it's being ignored :)

Blue was OCUK when the main site used to be blue. The forum should reflect changes to the new site - in this case the colour scheme being black.
