Recently dumping my crt and addign a 2nd tft instead freed up enough space for a mousemat, I really need one as I'm damaging my desk and mouse this way ( scratches on bottom of the mouse and coating on desk completely worn...).

3 Requirements:

Glides well/will not damage razer diamondback 3g
Will not move around on the desk.
Provided above is fine: As cheap as possible :D.

I would recommend some of the Razer's mats but they're not that expensive, I think you'll find that most of the mousemats on OcUK will fulfil those two requirements.

Tbh 20 is too much for a mat, I thought about +-10 and 15 max... It's only a mat after all, I just want something that won't damage my desk and mouse while still being as comfy as using the mouse directly on a desk...

Razer Goliathus (Speed).

edit. They come in three different sizes, I have the smallest one due to space limitations and it's about the size of a standard/generic mat.

If you have the room though you can get one of the larger ones for a couple more quid.

Very nice mat. It's rubber on the bottom so it won't slide about.

Appears to be a cloth one though, wouldn't a Teflon surface or some other plastic glide better? Just don't see why cloth should be any good for anything but classic ball mouses.

Sorry, I said "they're not that expensive" I actually meant "they're expensive", sorry it was a blonde moment.

I do agree, I wouldn't want to be paying more than £15 for a Mat either.

There is not much resistance at all on mine. (unless you press down on the mouse)
If i flick the mouse it slides all the way across
I would assume the same though, a glass one would have the least resistance I would imagine.
I find the mouse moves smoother on this mat than on the desk though.

I recommend the Razer Exactmat to go with your Razer mouse.
I also think 15+ is expensive for a mouse mat but the Razer one is made from metal so it's very unlikely I will have to buy a new mouse mat ever again.

£15 for something that will last you forever is a good investment in my opinion.

If you search round, you can pick up a Func Pad for £6.44 (I think most places did them for around £25)

Had mine for a couple of years now. Comes with a big non-slip rubber base, little clip for the cable and a reversible surface.

I have the same small mousemat going with my Razer Diamondback too (Non-3G version).

The cloth surface isn't much of a hinderence for me and since I use the absolute maximum sensitivity settings possible with this mouse, I don't even run out of space.

I've got a 'Flexiglow Cyber Snipa Pro Gamer Mouse Matt'

It's not metal, just micro-fibre but it works great on the Razer Deathadder. Pretty big though.

I also have a Razer eXact mat, its really good and goes nicely with my mx518. Picked it up pretty cheaply too and got the wrist rest free with it, if I remember rightly cost me about £15 and that was a while ago.
