Antec Price Increases.

When do people think the prices will begin to drop again?

Not much help, but frankly, sometime between now and then. With "then" being a point in the future that hasn't been determined yet.

I'm just thankful I got my Twelve Hundred when it had only gone up about 15-20 from when I first saw them, as opposed to the near 60 quid increase now.

Yeah I remember wanting to buy it around Christmas time, and thinking back then that £100 for a case is quite a lot :p

I'm very much lamenting not buying components back in september/october.

Q6600 for £100 (inc VAT) on a competitor, antec 900 for £60.

Now it's £160 for the Q6600, without even looking at the £90 case.

Seriously wondering whether it's worth getting my rig now, or giving it 6 months to see what happens.

Yeah it seriously puts things in perspective.

It'll probably be even more expensive then. A lot of what we sell (not PCs!) comes from the USA and the Euro zone and prices from many of our distributors went up by 30% on 1st Feb. We've heard one class of product may go up by 60% when the next batch is delivered!

I've just got a hankering for a white P180 Mini and seen the price (no competitor links obviously). Hmmm.... might have to sit that one out then. Pity, as the spanky white case rated a high instant SAF (spousal acceptance factor) and an relatively painless PJR (purchase justification reflex) level!

Sorry to bump this old thread, but is there any chance these prices will go back down again? Looking at a P182 but could not bring myself to pay £38 more than it would have cost last summer :(

All online retails watch each others prices and while people are willing to pay the high costs they will stay like that.

The prices have increased but not my the amount the stores are charging it's just another rip off britain and everyone has the credit crunch as an excuse.
