Essentially the 2 opposite systems of communism and capitalism both adress needs that are required in society
1/ The need to supply everyone with there basic needs
2/ The 'need' for excess in such areas as R&D,Festivals/entertainment etc.

It's a decent enough book. You're best reading it before asking for people interpretations as it will affect your own when you read it. Go down the library in the morning and get it or it can be found as an E-book on the usual torrent sites.
You'll learn more by reading it first then discussing it rather than second hand views.

Can't say I've ever actually read the book, they where just my views on the communism/capatilism debate in general.
Hope you enjoy it though, from what I understood it was more about 'the beast in man' under extreme need, could be wrong there though
you see what really knocks me is...the innitial responses everyone appears to assume some pre concieved knowledge of social behavio and knowlegde..this isn't correct I belive that most people are not borm aware of social staus and attidudes...does this make me dumb? less would be more juding by the respones that I've been getting innitially.

He is Irish not Russian, and English is his first language although he may speak Irish too, but he is drunk and then complaining that people are not giving intelligent responces. I guess we are worse than talking to another drunk face to face.
