After a year and a half of bliss with the teg I finally let it go on Saturday. Guy from France came over to collect it and is now currently living its new life in Verdun. Really sad to see it go but the guy was very enthusiastic about the car and I know it's going to be well looked after. He also paid full asking price which was a brucey bonus.

New motor is a 99plate ST24 RASP 2.5 V6 mondeo with 74k on the clock. Immaculate condition inside and out. Will get some pics up at some point. Bought it from L Plate on here for £1200 (cheers mick). Will do the job nicely until I get settled in my flat and start saving for another DC2 or possibly a DC5. Miss the V-Tec y0! too much.

**edit**

Crap pic for now but you get the idea.

Ocuk forces another person to get a Mondeo :p

Lovely car, pity to send her off to the frogs, no matter how much he will care for her :(

Oh yea, forgot to ask. Looking at doing a few mods to bring the power up a bit more. pipercross viper kit a good un? Alloys may also be changed at some point but not in a great rush.

I got 5.9k for it, 84k on the clock. Was bought for 6.4k so not lost a huge amount on it, and considering the state of the market im pretty happy with it. Was expecting to get around 5.5k for it.

Always interesting reading this. I couldn't care less what happens to my car after I've sold it.

Eeew, saloon :(

Nasty nasty rear lights.

Saloon looks better than hatch imo. Nice car mate.

I've got an ordinary Pipercross Cone Filter in mine, sits just right so that i can leave the base of the airbox in, tucks nicely into it :)

Sounds lovely.

:( gutted, but as you say, needs must and in the scheme of things the flat is what matters.

Something that you realise rather very quickly when you have your own place, living in a nice space has much more importance that buying wheels or exhausts for your car, something my friends don't quite "get" yet :)

Oh i know mate, cars have always taken a back seat with me too when it comes to property as you are probably aware :)

To increase power the best things to do are ST200 inlet manifolds and throttle body, induction kit is good if you can stop the hot air from the engine bay being sucked in. Exhaust can give a decent gain if you get a hiflow Y pipe and cat or decat you can remove the the main cat and still pass the mot as they also have precats in the exhaust manifolds. or you can do what i have and get the performance exhaust manifolds from america witha hi flow Y pipe and cat which freed up nice chuck of power and gives a nice sound to. :)

you can also upgrade the front discs to 300mm discs quite easily which give a good inprovement in stopping power :)

Yeah its just a photo from the last RR day, tis the most flattering of it because it was taken by someone with skillz rather than myself with a kodak point and shoot :p
