Do you have an official handbook called the "The Association of Professional Ambulance personnel" or APAP? or a desk planner from the same body? if so can you either PM me or see if there is an advert in/on it regarding printer inks? I'm investigating a protential scam that I've been caught out on, thanks

Let me guess, you've received a call/invoice from a company that claims that your company agreed to place this advert in the aforementioned "charitable" item, but no one in your company/organisation has any memory of agreeing to this deal?

It's a very old scam that generally relies on the person answering the phone panicking and not checking that the invoice is real (IIRC it's normally done with the calender/book supposedly going to schools/fire stations/hospitals, but oddly enough not the police or trading standards...)

I had a call recently from Child Protection UK Ltd, claiming the 100 or so drug awereness books i had placed an order for were printed and ready to be put into the school of my choice. I told them i didnt remember agreeing to this and the girl put me on to her supervisor who fed me the same **** over and over again ignoring my question of "Do you have any proof i ordered this?" Eventually i just told her where to go and hung up. A quick google of "Child Protection UK scam" later confirmed i was right to put the phone down.

Yes I got hired by one of these krus once we where doing 'fire mans diaries' apparently, I blew them up to the DSS when I quit and went to sign on and they claimed they couldn't pay me cos I walked on a job, when I went to the 'castle communications' offices to get my last paycheck they wher gone then.

I've been in touch and they have sent me faxes of delivery notes to the school, which I have checked on the tracking website. They did deliver something but I cant tell what. I have called the school and asked them to see if they can find any.

If you didn't request it and it's not a mistake, it's yours for free under UK law.
