Do you lock your car when paying for petrol alone?

The roof on the Z4 takes 7 seconds to go down and it was advertised as 'The worlds fastest soft-top' for a time. Is the S2000 really quicker?

They did a race on top gear. The Z4 roof doesn't move as soon as you press the button, and the S2000 does. I think BWM measure the 7 seconds from when the roof actually starts moving. The S2000 roof won on top gear, where they did mention BMW's claim.

S2000 is faster but isn't fully automatic.

Z4 is ace as you can open it via remote, so in real world it is faster as it's open before you get to the car.

Well, do you?

I think i probably will be doing, ill be scared of someone getting into my car!

If im alone on a night i think ill pop the lock on for a while whilst i pop into the garage to pay!

James.

Haven't read the thread yet - but, yes. Every time.

Never...

I usually won't even lock the car when it's parked outside our house. I mean seriously, cars are pretty hard to steal these days so the only issue is things inside the car. If someone was prepared to steal something they'd be prepared to break a window. Would rather they just took it without damaging my car thanks.

But if they do get inside (which won't be difficult if it isn't locked) and don't set off any alarm (which they won't as that won't have been set) and don't have an immobiliser to by-pass (which they won't as that won't have been set) then there is a massively increased chance of having your car taken.
Heck - go inside, handbrake off and tow it on to the back of a low-loader.

End result - no insurance pay out and car lost.
Excellent position to be in because you didn't want somebody "putting a window in".
